Comment by bfunk on September 8, 2008 at 3:56am: I hope Mckinney/Clemente can kick up as much dust as Nader did(when he was running for them) in 2000, hopefully this time people will actually listen to what the greens have to say. One things for sure, they've always been honest about Americas dubious and greedy foreign policy .......... sad thing is, the opulent, hollywoodesk blockbuster that is the "republican vs. democrat" show, takes priority over truth and real commonsense. Just as the Media would like it to.
McCain and Obama push the same agendas and ultimately work for the same people (Just as Mckinney/Clemente would ....... the green/enviro movement is more powerful than you think, only difference is, instead of killing and maiming people by creating a war to steal oil, they're more likely to hit you in the pocket for green/carbon taxes and force you into buying the the new trend in hybrid cars e.t.c. because the climate is changing or something), its just that as a black man I'd like to see Obama win over McCain. Sounds lame I'm sure, but hey,...... Reality bites.
The GREENS are the US's best answer (They'd certainly do the US's image a world of good on the international stage) but sadly who's really interested in the truth ...................... right!
