You know what Cliff, you just made me smile. Not because you posted WE FREE, but because of your last sentence. I have to agree with you there...'cause for real, some good cookin', quailty time, and I don't need to say the rest...women really can do some good and can keep a brother around for life! I'm really glad this conversation is taking place on here and that the role of the Black Woman is so valued on here....because we have been rightfully given so much responsibility to be the forerunner in the sustainibility of our family. I personally don't mind the heaviness of the load we must carry.....it is an honor to be gifted with such a life mission and to be guided in such..... it is so much work!!! Give thanks. And honestly, we can not do it effectively without our men...we will forever fail at achieving a wholistic life if we continue to think we're operating as individuals. It would be great to have an entire town hall forum on this issue - now that would be very interesting. By the way, what is the meaning of m.g.t.? Muslims girls in training? I'm not exactly sure. Alboogie and the other members who are reading this, here is a video getting to the same point as the ones posted, however, this brother's approach is much more condusive to positive reception AND he presents solutions for our moves forward. We have to be carful with our approach. It is a 10 part video, so you can check out the full version on youtube, but this brother's approach is balanced, unique and I would say just. That other video has a very aggressive tone, it is obvious and he is just pointing out what's wrong 100 times over. You know the saying, it's not what you say, but how you say it. Just 3 minutes into the video below we hear more of the big picture of our struggle and he does mention that brothers also have to play their part. The Black Woman is the manager of most things that keep the family in tact, so we have a huge job in balancing in this shitstem and maintaining our true selves. These are the types of brothers we need around, those who will Love us, be gentle with us, know that we also have flaws, work with us in the midst of what WE ALL have been through and then assist in the solution. What an Ideal...Let's do this, Fam!

Nice video, ..but it does not resonate within the black community, ..it will resonate amongst the cultural purists as yourself, but it is not within the hearts and minds of the masses. You did not address the underlining issue of Behavior and choices displayed by some black women, wether or not you agree with the bro. approach on this issue, ie. Aggressive/Passive, his critique speaks of a change in Black Female psychology, as it affects our community.

I already said in several posts that the Black Wombman has even more work to do than the Black Man because we are the first educators of our youth and we are the keepers of the family, culture, traditions, value etc....YES! of course i've read those books, many more than that, the historical component is important, but sis you have to remember that the black woman did not have those tools to use when she was dealing with chattel slavery, she was operating out of a survival mode, with the mental image of who she was Historically. she also had help from the Black Church reinforcing her self image as an African woman. and no im not depending on the "Masses" to have some kind of awakening, everyone can't be reached, but i am saying that we can reach more than what we have now. so my critique is wether or not this counter-productive behavior is a natural occurrence or is it being induced by unseen forces..? and if so how...? i will be posting the info i've found on this issue here on the ideal

p.s. i am a student of Na'im Akbar, it was his work that helped me understand how the mind works as well as the psychology of African peoples.

To answer your question, no, I know it isn't natural. Yes, It is induced by seen and unseen forces in many ways in the aspects of the physical, mental and spiritual. The video that I posted there with Baba Mfundishi hits on this, but I'd like to see the info you'll present. I think it will bring this dialogue further. We have to start by doing some of the things that Brother Cliff pointed at....by us raising our children under our own realities, not by what is superimposed in our consciousness...so much. Yeah, I feel you Peter. Once we realize that we are Divine beings...Spirits only exsisting in the flesh...that we are Kings and Queens in an absolute since of the words, then we will realize how fake the devil is and how much control it actually does NOT have.
